Herndon-Reston FISH, Inc.
(Friendly, Instant, Sympathetic Help) is dedicated to helping people meet emergencies and short-term needs. FISH responds to requests for rent, transportation to medical appointments, furniture, utilities, medical items (including prescriptions) and other short term emergency needs. Our goal is to prevent an eviction, keep utilities from being turned off and help people pay for their prescriptions.

MLK Jr. Cultural Foundation

Washington West Film Festival
Washington West Film Festival gives 100% of its regular screening box office net proceeds every year to a project or team that works to solve a problem of hunger, education, disease, or displacement – in our city and around the world. IPAR
The group, Initiative for Public Art – Reston (IPAR), expects to stimulate a community-wide discussion about the role that public art can play in urban places and community life, and plans to commission new artworks that are engaging, memorable and recognized for their artistic excellence.

Reston Historic Trust
The Reston Historic Trust promotes the history of Reston and the revitalization of local community by collaborating with individuals and organizations to develop educational activities, publications, community celebrations, exhibits, and research collections. These initiatives enable people of diverse backgrounds to use history to understand the present and plan for the future.
